I've stuck with the stock browser but turned off Flash since I don't really need it and it just slows down page loading. Tried turning off java but too many web sites rely on it for the menus. I find pages load almost as fast now as they would on my Galaxy S2.

I sideloaded Dolphin HD (8.6.1 from good ereader) and it's fast and you can have it to desktop mode and it works preettee great. Native browser only beats it out when flash is needed.
I don't really care about speed, but I do really care about smoothness when web browsing. So could you please tell me if the LATEST (side loaded) dolphin browser is actually smooth when scrolling? Especially on heavy websites like Engadget? If it scrolls smoothly, EVEN BEFORE COMPLETELY LOADED, AND after loaded as well, I would love to side load it too.

    Please let me know guys..

    Thanks.

I am running 8.8.2. not as smooth as on Nexus 7 but more than good enough non the less. Version 9.x does not work on Playbook. funny thing is that Dolphin on N7 is smooth but say same dolphin on lenovo tablet is not as good anymore. N7 hardware makesa a difference. as to flash well 4.1 does not have it so this is not loke playbook dolphin is really missing anything
