Do you type with keyboard popups enabled or disabled?

I recently found that I actually can type quicker and more accurately on the Playbook's keyboard with the popups disabled, which is the opposite of what I would have originally thought. Am I alone on this?

I am trying typing without popups for the first time and I think it does seem quicker,if only my typing skills were as good

I have the popups on and my typing sucks big time, but I have never liked virtual keyboards. Waiting to hear more about this.

How do you disable the keyboard from popping up???

I had no idea this was even possible? But much desired.

I hate when it pops up without me specifically telling it to!

Oh Doh! you mean those stupid annoying things that tell you which letter you pressed - disabled that so long ago I forgot I had them...

hate that too - it makes sense on a phone keyboard when it's hard to point exactly to the letter - with larger touch area there is no need. Happy they let us disable.

I've been using the keyboard with popups enabled and with sound. If I had to choose between the two, I'd keep the sound over popups any day.

wow, i'm still learning something new. thanks because now that i've turned it off, i do seem to be typing faster and a bit more accurately.

tried the no popups and yes, even though I am a slow typer it at least is better typing!

I have now tried without the popups, and it is much better. I still struggle with a virtual keyboard and get absolute delight when I type on my 9900.

Disabled, as soon as I figured out how to turn it off - which was about two hours after I got it.
