Just wondering how many people keep their WI-FI on and if you leave it on How much battery it will take compared to having WI-FI off?

The WiFi and Bluetooth are always activated but Airplane Mode overrides both when I am not using the tablet for a period of time.
I usually keep my wi-fi on because I prefer to have my device automatically connect to open wi-fi or places I have the security key for. I would rather do my internet over the wi-fi.
As for the battery life, I haven't really compared, but I am pretty sure my battery life is a little shorter than it would be with wi-fi off.

I haven't monitored the difference either. When not in use my PlayBook is in the charging dock.
I leave mine on - as I had found it handy to be able to copy stuff to it, wherever it was in the house, over WiFi.
I'm thinking I may well change that, though - there's 4 tablets in the house, and it's only the PlayBook that keeps WiFi on when in standby. Thing is, though, that whilst it does seem to fair the worst in terms of battery life (whilst also being the newest of the 4), it doesn't actually seem that bad when in standby. Battery life seems to go down more when I'm using it (say internet / email, or watching video) compared with my year old Android tablets.
Mine is always on until I leave and there is none then I turn it off. Never compared.
Always on. I have a charging dock at home and one at the office. When I'm not using the PB it goes on the dock. It also sits on the dock when I'm streaming anything.
Wi - Fi is always on, and battery drain depends on amount of usage.
I leave it on all the time. Battery drain does depend on the usage but I keep it on the rapid charger most of the time. Putting it on airplane mode when you do not need the wifi will conserve battery life.
For me it's usually on just because I've forgotten to take it off when I leave the house. I only use WiFi at home or at a friends place. I do notice a hit on battery life and that's when I realize that I've left WiFi on...
No, when not around WiFi or in Airplane mode. Saves some battery juice but just habit not by design.
I leave both wifi and bt ON all of the time. I'm sure I could do better with battery life but I just take the easy way - ON. Seems to do pretty well in standby. But no measures.
Mine's always on.
I'd estimate the power consumption at around 0.1W on average, compared to 0.05W on average for when it's off, but that's because I have several email accounts configured on mine. If I delete everything from Accounts, power consumption is basically the same with it on or off (confirming what others have said about "it depends on usage").
Off except when needed. No wifi at work.
Will-Fi is always on whether I'm at home on holiday or visiting family and friends. The automatic connection saves me having to remember encrypted logins. When I'm not using my PlayBook it's on charge but heavy Internet use does take it's toll on battery life.
I use my playbook as a GPS.
When the WiFi is off, I notice that I have a faster coordinate fix.
That's an interesting observation. I should check it if it ever stops raining!
I leave on wifi, bluetooth and bridge all the time and still get great battery life. I do all my texting through the playbook instead of on the phone. Its easier. I like the instant connection wherever I go.
Always on. Never even thought to turn them off.
Mine is always on. It lives on the charging dock when not in use, so battery usage is not an issue.
I turn it off and on as needed. I find there is a delay sometimes if it's trying to pick up a wifi signal so unless I hotspot it's off.
Always on, as is my bluetooth(bridge). Have never noticed a difference as they are always on, and have been since day 1 with my PB. I hate having to remember to turn it on or off. I prefer to just have it connect, so when I open it up to use it, its connected and ready to go.
I also use video chat a lot so if I turned off the wifi, then I would miss a lot of family calls.
Always on. Haven't notice a significant different in battery drain.
Always off. Both my playbooks try to be The Master Browser and muck up streaming on LAN.
