Default Do un-installed apps continue using memory?

My apologies if this subject has been hashed out already, then please refer me to the appropriate thread….

I noticed that appworld remembers all my UNISTALLED apss. Also, when I UN-INSTALL/delete apps this occurs instantly as if only icon was deleted…the re-installation also seems quicker than the initial….

So, the question - is my playbook’s RAM memory still used even AFTER I deleted the apps?

I am concerned that as the appworld releases more apps for trial, this will eventually run down and slow my PB.

No, when you delete it its deleted from the playbook.

App World remembers your purchases incase you get a new playbook or do a security wipe and then you can reinstall them

They're definitely not in RAM, since apps are in RAM only while running.

They may, however, briefly continue to use up some storage space in Flash as they don't appear to be removed immediately after uninstallation, but are perhaps merely marked for uninstallation, with the actual cleanup (deletion of the files) occurring a short time later. I believe this cleanup happens at reboot (for sure), but also probably one a regular basis like once every hour. (System maintenance tasks like that are commonly triggered from a timer rather than occurring instantly.)

I have noticed that some Android apps are not deleted at all, until you delete both from AppWorld And delete the icon. For some reason AppWorld seems to be "disconnected" from some apps, so if you delete the Icon from the menu, the app still shows up in AppWorld, but after deleting also from here - AND performin a reboot - memory is reclaimed.
