Default Did bb build the new back in time on pictures feature

I did watch the bb world 2012 keynote and I was really impressed with the pictures feature for the upcoming bb 10 phones, but after watch some videos on the Internet HTC new phones already have that technology.. Or application or whatever that is. After seeing that I ask myself, beside the keyboard feature what else RIM have been doing all this time? Because clearly the pictures feature they didn't build that feature apparently.. So all this time all they've build is a touch keyboard? Don't get me wrong, the touch keyboard feature looks amazing! But even the picture feature was even better on my opinion, but my point is RIM'S bb world keynote they make it look like “look what we got ” and they even flash me with those features, but when I realized that picture feature is from someone SCALADO or something like that, and then find out HTC already got that technology, I get really disappointed and I ask myself...all this time they've just build a keyboard? An amazing one... But just a keyboard! If that's true and they didn't invented SCALADO technology, I really don't see were all the excitement Kevin is talking about, because all they did was shrink the playbook, because after seeing a developers alpha unboxin video, the real developers phone doesn't have the amazing keyboard which they did show on the keynote! So looks to me like even the keyboard is someone else's technology! I hope I'm wrong but if is RIM'S technology why the keyboard isn't preloaded or add to the alpha phones already? All I know is maybe the way Kevin was talking gave me a little bit of hope, but after find out all this, I really don't see what RIM did all this time, so I really don't see a reason to be excited about bb 10 ,besides that, not even a word about apps people really want (skype, netflix, draw something ) they did show everything else, some cool games and some stuff, but what about those they do know most of us want and they DO KNOW they need in order to succeed, none of those were mentioned or at least indicate they will be available on the phone when is finally out! I really don't know what to believe anymore, or at least I don't really see the excitement or a bright future for bb 10, other than just fan boys making it look bigger than it really is.

wow, I read the first sentence and stopped reading.

The enter key is a great feature to use because I'm not reading this entire thing and I doubt many others will without being formatted to be nice on the eyes

The Time Lens is 'Scalado Rewind'.
The keyboard is 'Swiftkey' and was already in use on the Playbook.

Both features have been enhanced in BB10 though (and offer features unavailable on Android). For example, the swiping to a word rather than tapping in Swiftkey.

RIM is in partnership with these companies and licences their technologies. Through their partnership they gain access to improved versions of these technologies. For instance, their cooperation with Adobe (and access to source code) gives them the best implementation of Flash on a mobile platform.

The most important piece is that these features are integrated in to the OS rather than being separate add-ons or apps (as customary on Android).

    Hope that answers your questions.

OP i think your missing the whole point. Its a good thing that RIM is licencing with these companies. They cant be all things to all ppl. Alot of feature that were added to iOS were created by third-parties and then just implemented by Apple, Its just good business.
That keyboard tho, is amazing and yes it might be the underlaying work of swift key but with a RIM spin on it. I personally cant wait to try that keyboard out.
Also of course RIM has done more but they cant show it all yet we still have a while to wait.

TAT was an idenpendent company and so was the one who made Siri. It's about global collaboration and progressive thinking by a bunch of parties put together.
