Desk top

I've plugged in the playbook to the computer but can't see the desk top items from the playbook on the computer, i'm wanting to transfer some files. Does anyone know what i'm doing wrong?

The Desktop items are just links to files / apps.
Use Blackberry Desktop Manager to back up the Playbook.

Are you getting a Z: drive on your computer when you connect the Playbook by USB?

enable file sharing on PlayBook, it should show as Z drive on pc. You should be able to drag and drop files from pc to playbook, and playbook to pc via wifi

Thanks very much for posting this link, and therefore enabling focus to such a brilliant post. Even I have been able to follow the instructions and achieved this. I'm really pleased with being able to have yet another wonderfully useful way of linking up with my Playbook.

It's the nature of the beast. One sure way is to use Dukto but even then it doesn't list files from your PC, but you can upload to it. I think there's other apps for this too but
99% of the time, I just use wifi from the pc to upload from or download to the PB.
