Humm... I missing the boat. Sorry. I'm currently running .1710, when I check for updates is says i have the latest software installed. Is there another area to update or get back items?

    Thanks!

Yup, that's what happens. Unfortunately, it means you can't really delete any of the default apps. They get reinstalled each time you do an update!

Got it! Thanks! I'll standby for the next update. I'll watch to see if they are restored.

i deleted a bunch of short cuts for msn and aol mail as well. waiting for an update should not be the only way to get these shortcuts back. when checking for an update it say i've got the latest one.

I agree. the updates shouldn't restore deleted shortcuts/apps and there should be a way to restore the ones you deleted and want back w/o restoring all deleted shortcuts that you don't want back.

Cool. I'm going to try this. Looking at your update, I can see that it's only 4MB, rather than the entire update. Yeah, mine is not showing up like that. I will do the reboot and see if it comes up with anything different.

    Thanks again!
