I setup my new playbook mail via the bridge and my bb 9900. Also have the new 2.0 os. Here is the confusion....with 2.0, do I still need my bb 9900 (bridge) to be able to use my email? I've yes and no.

No, all your PB needs is to be connected via WiFi. You do not need to Bridge to use the stand alone message centre.

You need to setup the OS 2.0 email separately from the bridge email. The setup is under options and accounts on the PlayBook.

It wasn't clear in your original post whether you were asking if just bridging your 9900 to the PlayBook would automatically setup the native email using the account info from your phone, which it doesn't.
