Box only works on Passport, & I don't know of a usable service on PB. Is there one at home on both devices?

Box, DropBox, OneDrive, and a couple of others can be accessed on the Playbook using X-Plore File Manager (sideloaded). DropBox and GoogleDrive and a few others can be accessed using ES File Explorer (the older version) (also sideloaded). Finally, the android Box app (ver 2.0.xxx) also works on the Playbook. However, X-Plore allows you to stream media directly from Box (and the others) while the android Box app will not.

I have all 3 working on my Playbook but they are android sideloads:

    Dropbox ver 2.3
    Onedrive ver 1.2.1
    Box ver 1.8.1.1

All 3 work well, but Pacoman also has a good solution with ES File Explorer.

    Hi,

I am a teacher using Playbooks as Internet Search Devices. The school board uses Google Drive.

Do you have a bar file I can sideload to the Playbooks to access Google Drie or another Cloud Storage site?

    Much appreciated.

There's Open File Explorer for the PB in BlackBerry World. It's an Android port but works very well and supports Google Drive. It can crash on occasion but then it is free and supposedly still in development.

I know you asked concerning an app however you can access multiple cloud services (including Google Drive and a variety of others) via the browser. Using Web services such as otixo.com and multcloud.com you gain the additional benefit of easily copying and moving your data between those cloud services. Everyone seems to like apps but my perspective is whatever gets the job done. Just something to consider.

Dropbox, onedrive and Google work with the native files and folders app as well as bridging to access bb10 files on your phone. I think the only one that's stopped working is box.

    I'm currently using on my Z10 :
    - Dropbox
    - Box
    - OneDrive

I guess it should be the same for passports. I also know that you can also use Google Drive too.

There's also PlayCloud, which I use on both my Q10 and PlayBook for access to OneDrive and Box, though it also offers access to Google Drive and also works as a file manager.

No worries, the post has got a bit distracted. People are posting what works on each as oppose one app the works on both.

X-Files explorer (side load) works, but with an interface that is really not suited to mobile devices IMO.

As others pointed out, on BB10 cloud services seem to work natively (I use Box and Onedrive without issue), so it really is a matter of using something on the PB. Perhaps Playcloud is your best bet. I tried the Files and Folders app today on someone's recommendation and it won't connect to anything I tried unfortunately.

I haven't used my Playbook for a couple of weeks but files and folders was working the last time I used it. I'll check tonight. Dropbox and onedrive also work as sideloads albeit older versions.

BTW does anyone know which version of box works? That's the only one I can't get running.

I'd poke around Goodereader. I think they're quite conscious of versions of Android apps that work on the PB.

Android version 2.0.1.20001.bar is the version I use flawlessly on the PlayBook. Link below to download, then sideload.
