Anyone know if plain old Circuit City/The Source $10 wall plug adapter (Type D) is sufficient for plugging my Playbook charger into a UK wall socket? I don't want to fry the thing.

I see that BlackBerry sells an international charger kit for $40, but it just looks like a North American wall charger with two adapters...basically no different from what I was planning to use.
    Or is it?

Type D isn't what you'd need according to my googling. Type D looks like this:

    UK plugs look like this:

For the record, I have used a US charger with a travel adapter in a UK plug socket before I bought a UK charger (I live in UK), and it worked fine. The voltage here is different, we use 230V instead of 115 or whatever it is in US, but if you look at your charger, it should say on it "input = 100V-240V", which indicates that it is perfectly fine.

Provided your adapter goes into a UK plug socket, it should work just fine.

All you need to one of the cheapies that change the plug shape.
