    I have a brand new 7" Playbook that I'm trying to get mail working to my Gmail account. I have already weakened my Gmail security and it looks like all the port settings and server settings are setup correctly. I have tried PUSH both Off and On, but I continue to get login errors.

    Does Gmail work on Playbook and if so what are the secrets to make it so?

    I'm looking to purchase a dozen more if I can get past this hurdle.

    I don't normally have my Gmail account on my Passport, but I thought that I would try it when I saw your post. I just added it as I normally would do for any account and it logs in and works perfectly fine. I don't have 2-step authentication on my Google account if that helps at all. Settings are:

    Description : Gmail
    Username : my email address
    Email Address : my email address
    Server Address: imap.gmail.com
    Port: 993
    Encryption: SSL
    SMTP Username : my email address
    SMTP Server Address : smtp.gmail.com
    SMTP Port: 465
    SMTP Encryption : SSL
    Use push if supported : ON
    Sync Interval: 15 Minutes

    But as I stated all this was automatic once I created the account. Good luck!

    I got it to work on my Playbook once I put my email address in as the Username instead of my actual username.
