What can i do about a USB port to which I can no longer attach my Playbook to charge it? For some time it has been difficult to get the USB lead to attach to the port and now it wont attach at all. It goes about half the way in but not all the way in and therefore the Playbook is not charging.
This happens when the USB port is damaged, usually because you've tried to force the USB plug in upside down.
Get out a magnifying glass and inspect the USB port. When the screen is facing up, the little tab inside the USB port should be slightly below the middle. If not, you may be able to bend it down carefully with a small screwdriver.
When inserting the USB plug, always make sure the BB logo is at the front matching the BB logo below the screen. Never force the plug in, it should slide in easily.
