Seems to work from my playbook. I browsed around the site and played a trailer without issue.

    1. Clear cache in browser settings. (Try this first. Very likely it will work.)
    2. Hard reset.
    3. Wait for a couple more people to confirm it works..
    4. Backup -> Wipe -> Restore

Confirmed on my 2.1.0.1088 PlayBook as well. As a work-around for now http://m.redbox.com for the mobile version.

Well, if it used to work, then something must have changed on Redbox's side since 2.0.1.358 crashes just like 2.1.0.1088. It's not the upgrade.

Just to confirm that mine crashes as well when visiting redbox.com...It was the first time I was visiting the site and apparently I'll not do it again.
Don't think it worth doing a wipe just for a website. It's just plain stupid.

Why would you go through the hassle of wiping and restoring your playbook over a bad coded in a Web Page if most of the places you work? There are times when it is necessary to do a security wipe but not often IMO.

Set browser default to private,.... This wipes cookies, history, and cache everytime you close the browser. I rarely encounter browser crashes.

It's happening to me on a few websites as well. I am chalking it up to incompetance on the part of RIM.

I've got 1088 and not one browser crash since I installed when it was released a couple of days ago.

I just went to redbox.com. Their homepage loaded quickly and no problems. Clicked on a few things. Watched a preview. No problem.

    PlayBook rules!!!

Well my issue is every time I try to log into my crackberry account the browser crashes. Otherwise I seem to be able to browse fine but will keep updating as issues appear. Yes I did clear browser cache history etc and restarted. Ii'd do the backup wipe and retore but I'm among those that cannot get BBDM to complete a backup anymore, but that's the subject of another thread...

Ha! If RIM listened to users they wouldn't be in the state their in. RIM thought corporate IT and BES clients were all they needed. Why would end users want/need to control their devices?

With the inconsistent reports (some working, some not), it definitely seems to be in the settings. I, too, tried deactivating Javascript and it works, though the main banner doesn't work.

Javascript OFF, Flash ON - works, but main banner doesn't work. Toggling back ON Javascript and doing a page reload afterward makes it reload the main banner and it continues to work.
Javascript ON, Flash OFF - works and everything appears to be there. Toggling back ON Flash and doing a page reload afterward still works.

    Tested on 2.0.1.358 and 2.1.0.1088.

Perhaps other website issues can be resolved with toggling these settings?

Yep, my PB browser has been crashing a little bit on the new OS - and it never used to.

So .... thank you all for the info above re various Browser settings.

BTW - I'm not overly concerned that it crashes, but I enjoy learning all the different ways to assess and address issues!!
