UPDATE: Broke PlayBook in Half!(actually bent it)
I just got into a fight with my girlfriend(ex-girlfriend maybe). I got so upset that I snapped my PlayBook in half.
Edit: actually bent it with a back-breaker move over the knee type thing, and the back piece stayed in my hand while the rest of it went flying across the room. She wasn't around, I did it when she was out of the house. As for people thinking I would hurt the gf, I'm not like that. I've actually been physically abused in a past relationship for over 5 years(Yes! A man beat up by a woman! It happens). I would never hurt a person or animal like that! However, when it comes to a bad situation with a loved one, I don't give a sh** about materialistic crap, but this ended up being a BlackBerry PlayBook which is why I'm so sad about it
I'm(STILL) afraid, and I'm(STILL) trembling from the thought of not having my(OLD) PlayBook anymore
Update: I'm such anIDIOTsometimes.
It was "our" PlayBook. I think I can still save our photos & videos.
We have a new PlayBook now, yes, we have worked things out and are still together.
I was considering buying parts and doing the repairs myself(I'm the blindfolded take-apart guy from the Super FanBoy video contest). Instead, I'm going to keep the old PB in the damaged condition its in, as a reminder of what not to do when I get angry.Last edited by TheWait_IsOver; 08-13-2012 at 08:40 AM. Ok when you are more concerned about your playbook, the gf should be the ex gf by now... Just sayin

In a case like this, is it appropriate to say "Screw the gf and get a new PB". Eh well... not literally 'screw'... but on second thought.......?

Hmmm, looks like the wait is just beginning. Sucks OP, go grab another. Maybe an LTE version while you are at it.

Keep the old one. Maybe duct tape it together. This way when you get back with the ex and she screws up again (remember, it's always her fault) you can re-break the old one and still have the new one.
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure. - 08-10-2012, 10:22 AM #23
Ive seen the inside of the PlayBook, its actually held together with about 10-12 screws and the ribbons, thats about it. (There are also metal clips that hold the batteries down). It would be interesting to see one snapped in two though. Did you break the board itself?

A new Karate event - breaking tablets with the side of the hand (glass side down to keep the shards entering the hand to a minimum).

I find it difficult to believe someone could actually break their PB in half as described. And if they did I would genuinely be interested in seeing a picture of it!
