So i know that bbm is the way if the future

However I still have some uninitiated friends who don't use BlackBerries yet.

One think I wish my PB would do is bridge my txts inbox.

I basically live at home now with my torch in bridge mode sat up on the counter and my PB in hand.

This works great for browsing, fb, twitter and email. Then I'll hear my txt tone and have to go to the phone to see what it wants.

Is there a technical reason why RIM didn't include this out of the box?

Is therehope for it coming in later releases or via a third party app?

There is an app already that helps you do this. But it costs check app world.

Same here, very few people that txt me are BBM users, even if they have a BB.
I do not see the popularity of the BBM service in my wide circle of tech-savvy friends.
Would vastly prefer an integrated SMS feature for the PB over an "app".
This PB thing is such an amazing extension to my BB (9930 now) that SMS seems a natural.

There used to be a sticky thread called something like "What do you want to see in OS2?"... but it seems to have disappeared (a bit like the OS2 release date announcement ).

I don't know if RIM ever read any of it, but maybe the forum Mods could re-stick that thread in a more prominent place, clean out the inevitable "random" posts, and wave the list under RIM's nose?

It seems we may have a bit of time before OS2 goes on general release (the "happy thereafter" ), and maybe there's an opportunity to turn this frustrating delay into a positive by giving RIM a chance to incorporate at least some of the items on that list?

EDIT - Nevermind. I see it's an app for the phone, not for the PB.
