    Just got my new 32GB Playbook and have the Bridge installed on my Torch 9800 but my playbook and torch will not pair manually or automatically ... did I miss something or is Telus playing games as well ???

    nope, i have the same carrier and same devices, no issues whatsoever. Make sure to follow the directions on your PB's screen exactly. if it still doesn't work, get help from RIM support.

    piper, try the obvious battery pull, if that doesnt fix it, delete th bluetooth profile that was created and try and re do the pairing.

    tried the battery pull - didn't work
    bluetooth profile - there wasn't one
    tried again and same error message - unable to connect blackberry bridge

    hmmmmmm ... or is it grrrrrrrrrrr

    I am having the same issue with Rogers 9780.

    The next thing I'll try is a different firmware on the phone, as that's the only thing that I haven't tried yet.

    once i set it up the beginning after a few tries, bridge has been running flawlessly for me paired with the telus torch.

    Delete the pair on the playbook and torch, delete the bridge on the torch, re-instal the bridge on the torch and then follow the bridging instructions on the playbook again. I had to do this and the second time the torch picked up the bar code on the playbook and everything worked great.
