    when i open an email on my blackberry while bridged, my playbook makes an audible tone. it's not bad when it's one email, but when i'm going through dozens at a time, it becomes quite annoying.

    You might consider in settings > sounds to lower down the notifications volume to 0

    You will have your notifications on your phone anyway.
