Like everyone i just installed the 2.0 BB bridge (from rroyy, thanks) but found out that the bridge browser was gone. It is this a trick from ATT? Can i still use my data on the regular browser?

Running OS7.1.0.0.258 on Torch 9810.

It is redundant for "most" users. It is still there for some BES users (those with MDS service running) and will be used to access sites running through BES. Most companies these days don't run the service so bridge browser will be gone in those cases and for BIS users.
