Bloodied but Unbowed...
RIM Executive Talks Plans For BlackBerry PlayBook
Maybe signs that RIM has finally got their selves together? Admitting mistakes... Developing a course of action...Setting realistic targets and getting it done RIGHT.
Best line of the whole article:
When asked about a roll out date for their BBX Super Smartphones....Patrick Spence, RIM's managing director for global sales and regional marketing - "Getting it right trumps saying it's going to be 'X' date... I want to make sure we get it right..."

Nice post 'little bunny rabbit'.. A-PHI 'til the day I die... Lol... you know it's all love
But on a serious note it's good that they realize that they could have done a better job with marketing so hopefully things start to turn around. - 10-10-2011, 07:54 PM #3

Interesting. They have learned. Don't bow to demands from customers.
Makes me wonder, if they had said,
"Getting native PIM right trumps saying it's going to be released in 60 days... I want to make sure we get it right..."
or
"Getting Playbook right trumps saying it's going to be released in April... I want to make sure we get it right..."
or
"Getting Playbook right trumps saying it's going to be released in April... I want to make sure we have enough apps..."
Would the malcontents have been happy? No, that's why they are called malcontents.
With malcontents you lose either way. Damned if you do damned if you don't.
That's why Aesop wrote this fable:
The Father and His Two Daughters

Moral: You can't please everybody
and this one:
The Man the Boy and the Donkey
http://www.aesopfables.com/cgi/aesop...oyandtheDonkey
Moral: Please all and you will please none.

So reading the article they are going to market playbook to existing phone owners in the middle east and Basile won't answer questions? That's the marketing plan? Highlighting that you can bump your phones together and share links? wow, I don't think they've learned a thing.

Wake me when they aren't repeating the same stuff they've been saying since 2007, only in different formats.
Excuse me, I'm making perfect sense. You're just not keeping up.

Gotta love Bla1ze getting involved in the discussions

Either people are behaving better and he's bored, or he's had it with moderating us and is drinking heavily lol
Either way it's cool. - 10-11-2011, 12:28 AM #14Excuse me, I'm making perfect sense. You're just not keeping up.
