Hi

I will be traveling to the US soon and would like to buy some bb goodies; namely a rapid charger. If I buy a rapid charger in the US will it work in the UK?

it will work in the UK if you buy the new cord for it in the UK
you are better off to purchase one in the UK to ensure compatibility.

Unlike our phones the chargers don't come with the international plugs included.

Yes, you can either do as Fubaz suggested for just buy a plug shape adapter to fit your UK sockets. The charger works on either US or other (220?) currents. Or one of those "clover" shaped cords that ends with the UK plug.
