Blackberry Playbook OS 2.1 Likely Coming Tomorrow..[False Alarm]

Exciting news. It looks like 2.1 could be coming very soon.

BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.1.0.982 suggested to be arriving tomorrow along with BlackBerry Bridge 2.1 | CrackBerry.com

Not sure if this a release or just a beta fix. Bridge 2.1 is also being released.

*UPDATE* - As noted previously, RIM has a habit of switching dates at the last minute and this release seems to be once again placed on hold for the time being for whatever reason. Back to playing the waiting game. Sorry folks!

I have no idea now. In total, I've had three dates come across me and each time, RIM has cancelled them for unknown reasons. I suppose IF they plan on releasing it, BB Jam Americas would be the time to do so. :/

Shortly after Thor installed the new 2.1 this morning, his PlayBook melted in his hands and even melted his bridged BB 9990. He summoned the software team (by land line), who eventually concluded that there might a slight problem with the new release.

Oh well what's the battery life expectancy? Or do they give a new PB out with 2.1 or BB10 when it comes? Good thing the thing is still useful for me anyway.

I'm not sure how they "fooled you" considering the post on CrackBerry regarding the release of 2.1 wasn't the result of an OFFICIAL announcement by RIM... but some insider information that Bla1ze or another CrackBerry team member had. Get over it.. my PB works just fine without 2.1...and will work even better with 2.1 and eventually BB10.

My playbook has been running quite well since I wiped it and re-updated to .358 so im not too concerned anyhow.

Was a beta for developers, but you could sign up in the beta zone and get the beta.

I realize that RIM is just a company who's products i've purchased. I realize they have no reason to try to please me, as they have already gotten my money. I realize that in "real" life, they owe me nothing as I owe them nothing. But come on! I like your products RIM. I want to keep liking them. But I can't if you give me nothing to like other than stuff I payed for and have owned for two years. i still like 'em, but if you could keep me engaged, i'd love them. As it stands now, I'm disheartened and really am having a hard time sticking with you. I want to, but you give me nothing to look forward to. nothing that makes me want to sing your praise. nothing that will help make my productivity and my life just that little bit easier and more fun than before. I want to grow with you.. I want to grow old with you. right now, though... i feel jilted.
