Developers are a kind of elite.
We write the apps that non developers use.
People want what we create.
Without us, there wouldn't be apps. there wouldn't be OS's that would run apps.
I'm not saying developers are better, we just require abilities to test out products.

But the whole point is this: I shouldn't have to use Goggle to sync between two RIM devices. If it can bridge, it should be able to sync. I choose not to have google hold and sync my contacts for me.
To each their own, but this is the biggest failing of the PB. Other then that, it is my go to device.http://twitter.com/WackostuPearl Flip>8520>9300>new 9300(bad trackpad)>9900>iPhone4S +Playbook

As a SysAdmin/BES Admin I am very very glad they do NOT sync. Currently OS 2.0 isnt supported on the Playbook where I work, and only connection is through Bridge. I have a MUCH higher ability to secure the BlackBerry device than I do the Playbook.
Edit:
Also the BlackBerry contact database is LOCAL when it doesnt sync to an e-mail address. It is no different than having an excel document on your home PC and wanting that to sync to your Outlook because both systems are Microsoft Office. Without some sort of conversion and manual process it doesnt work.Last edited by Sith_Apprentice; 04-17-2012 at 11:33 AM.

I do understand that. However, over bridge I can read the contacts of my 9900 on my PB. It should be just as easy to move between the two seamlessly without using an outside source. Even if there was a way to plug in your BB to DM, transfer contacts and then load on your PB. But you cant.

Are you not running the Blackberry Device Manager? Pretty easy to setup and hook into mobile fusion.. It would be better if i could control all the devices from BESx but this is the first step.
Still trying to figure out all the policies i can put on my playbook now.. Switched to and Iphone for a while now and will be looking at controlling it with the BB universal device manager.. but it requires another server.. 3 server now between besx, mobile fusion and blackberry device manager (playbook) and blackberry universal device manager.

Been up and running since early. Nice that everything is running so smoothly, but it's laughable that they pushed out zinio. I have 2 playbooks here, neither of which is able to download anything from the zinio app. I already bought a subscription too, which wasn't that smart I guess. Other than that little rant there, the PB is running VERY nice today

With regards the varying file sizes people are experiencing: I have two PlayBooks, a 16GB model and a 64GB model. I updated the 16GB model first and the OS update file was 504MB. I am now updating the 64GB model and the file is 346MB. Same network connection, same country (UK). I cannot account for it, but there you go.
Both updates are/were OTA.
It's good to see BB focusing this release on bug fixes and stability though, as this paves the way for a more feature-rich 2.1 soon. He said hopefully.

OT but RIM is not doing anything to keep folks from pirating Android apps. The only thing they are doing is encrypting files installed from App World, so THEY can't be backed up, shared and sideloaded on another device. RIM can't stop the Android piracy problem and don't really care to either. The Android piracy problem is because their apps aren't encrypted.
