A new version of the BlackBerry� PlayBook� OS � v2.0.1.358 � is now available to all users. This free update can be downloaded over-the-air from your BlackBerry� PlayBook� tablet.

The BlackBerry PlayBook OS v2.0.1.358 contains many updates including:
Browser enhancements to address performance with some websites
Improvements to support Android apps
Optimizations to Video Chat, PIM and BlackBerry Bridge applications

Sorry guys I'm a newbie playbook owner here, when i got my playbook it's already on .7971... May I know if I update to this OS 2.0.1, will my apps and most importantly media files be gone?

My fingers crossed on Wifi issues, although not mentioned..:D

Whoever gets it running first, PLEASE have a look in the messages app. Is there a 'mark all as read' button??

Awaiting conformation that this hasn't locked sideloading before so reclessly hitting download. Anyone?

I just checked my Playbook at about 9:06am and saw the update. I thought for once I'd have some breaking news, but alas the Crackberry team was sharp as ever and beat me to it! Now to check it out!

maybe they DISABLED sideloading or other key things.. ; then you're screwed... i dont update yet

EDIT; or they disabled Localbar 2 ...

It probably has, but in what form is the question. Is i just app world apps? Or is it any .bar file.

I need to know too, since my playbook is at home and my wife is a button clicker.......

I kept all my apps when upgrading to 2.0.
