Blackberry Playbook 2 in May or June
Blackberry is expected to release the new blackberry Playbook which will be called Blackberry Playbook 2 in May or June this year at the Mobile World Congress next month in Barcelona. We had reported that The Carphone Warehouse has reduced the price of Blackberry Playbook earlier version which could be indicating the release of Blackberry Playbook 2 is near.

While they may release a PlayBook with a 3G/4G radio...we do not when this will be happening.
Very possible we see some news at BlackBerry World starting tomorrow in Orlando - 04-30-2012, 05:38 PM #5
There is a Playbook, 1.5 ghz with 3g or 4 g or something, but thats pretty much it. It wont be such a huge redesign. That picture is fake, everything blackberry 10 is coming out with the same ratio for screen size, that screen is alot more square and they are not going to add buttons its gesture based.

If it does come out will there be enough upgrades to it to justify $500 upgrade? No I don't know if that is what it will cost but if it is comparable to the pricing of my current PlayBook it should be there in costs. I hope it does come out and kick azz but it better be a lot better thought out then the current PlayBook advertising campaign was.

Lol, all the guy said in the heading was 'this year'.
Gee, my mom said she also heard this from some guy who knew some guy who used to be a RIM rep.

When they get some more or better business apps is when they should release the new playbook. When bbm is released for playbook is when they should release a new playbook. Hopefully tomorrow we will see something wonderful for playbook and I'm not talking about abs.
I waited...It launched...Im still waiting...

Why does it look like a distorted iPad faked as a BlackBerry device?
Leave the iPad alone...what it does it does well...sell PlayBooks..______________________________________

Yeah, they still need to get the idea of a blackberry tablet to become more popular first. Things are coming along but they need to get bb 10 out, then put it on the current playbook while getting out a few bb 10 phones

Well if it does come out it should be priced competitively at $150 or something similar, it won't sell at much higher. Besides there's still no apps available, not the ones the majority want anyway.
I personally would wait and see how it performs. And if it does end up at $500, well, why not just buy an iPad? - 05-01-2012, 04:02 AM #15
