Wow Android applications are a lot faster with this release (Winamp and Plex are flying!)

    ;-)
Android player is the same version, but I guess some of the other underlying bug fixes could have helped.

Nice chuckle - thanks for that.

And apparently, the Carriers get a say - so - who knows!

update: I think it needs some time post restart to process stuff, after second restart, it was same laggy as before. I left it for about an hour, and now it is a lot better, especially the browser and keyboard.

I just tried fox news and it says media type not supported, I wonder what they are using?
I tried it, tapped through the message, and the video played fine.

Although it is probably too early to claim it, but this "small" update is better than the last "big" update...

This is actually what RIM needs to continue... even "small" update with "bigger" improvement... rather than "bigger" update with "small", or in the case of the previous update, "worst" improvement... (yeah, I know, there is no such thing as ""worst improvement" ;-) )...

Well what do you know, fox news is now working. And on that note, I wasn't able to watch the daily show and it is also working now so the comedy representing both sides of politics is now working

Yeah I'm sure the carriers have made it their no1 priority to fix it for him just before xmas.

This is what I've been saying. Little and often, lowers risk and shows customers that support is ongoing. Two or three more of these types of fix will be a nice place to finish off. Then those of us that have a nice stable Playbook that works can choose not to install BB10 and let those that do, suffer the pain that is to come.

No problems for me. Battery life has improved a bit. Not draining as quickly anymore. But yes, that update was bigger than 37MB. It took 400MB chunk out of my already crowded 16GB model.

Well, I left it alone at 5% and it said it would need a reboot. Now I've returned (and I did not do any reboot - although, it might have) and it is downloading 409MB. I have no idea what's happening or why!
I've seen this mentioned a couple of times.
My guess is that the small update is getting corrupted or something else went wrong so the entire OS is being installed.

the update at 37 mb took me an hour to download and install. Then it went to download the 407mb update. That too is taking a long time. It's almost quarter to 9 in the evening, and I probably should have updated tomorrow when fewer people were doing the same. Previous updates were never this slow for me. I thought maybe something was wrong, but I'll just leave it plugged in and check on it later.
I had this same type of update with one PB (37MB update followed by 409MB update) and not the other (37MB only). The dual update was very slow, had to pause and plug the charger in! That particular PB has had some performance issues such as frequent browser crashes so maybe the first install flagged something.
