Loaded os. 7111 yesterday. Now blackberry. I'd locked. Says " you have exceeded the number of attempts to verify your password. For security reasons you have been locked out for 49465016 min

I haven't done anything with my blackberry. I'd or password. Don't know what happened. Any help would be welcomed.

I couldn't find anything which explicitly solves your problem, but I did find a KB thread that might help.

KB28212-"Unable to login to your BlackBerry ID account" or "Unable to update your BlackBerry ID account information" error occurs on a BlackBerry smartphone running BlackBerry 7

Try the instructions in that thread and let us know how it turns out.

I find it interesting that something is "fixing" the typing and changing ID to I'd!!!!

Got same issue. Locked out for 49462526 minutes. If you look in the setting menu under blackberry id all the fields are blank.

Fixed it.

Wiped, reinstalled 1.08 then updated to 2.0.711

Sadly, I have the same issue. I am holding out hope that the RTM 2.0 release fixes this.
I don't want to wipe my Playbook. I hate losing progress on games.

If I still have the issue after RTM, I will contact RIM for support.

I have the same thing. Looks like it's a bug. I can login to my BBID on my 9900 and from my desktop, so I know it's definitely not locked.

Sorry to say but I'm so happy its not just me. I sent a tweet to bbhelp and I'm waiting for a reply. Hopefully a solution is found soon... Waiting for the official 2.0 release is awkward.

Same problem here. ID locked out. May also explain the problems i'm experiencing in Appworld - can't download any new apps, or upgrade apps.

So simple its genius. I wish I would have thought of this myself before wiping my PlayBook. This should help anyone else who runs in to this problem.

I have solved this way: Change the date to 2014!

possibly not that simple but this worked for me! was able to finally download the facebook update and had blackberry news working. good for the moment.
