Hi All.

Someone I know has a curve 8520 and can't install bb bridge for the playbook. When I go to app world it says that bridge isn't supported on this particular device.

From reading certain posts I have gathered that I probably need to update the os on curve to be able to support bridge. Is this correct? And if so, how do I update the os?

Bridge should support devices running BBOS 5.0 or higher. I was always able to update my 8530 OTA, with no computer connection needed. To learn more about updating to OS5 read about Blackberry's software here. BlackBerry - Device Software v5.0 - Download BlackBerry Device Software Today.

It may need OS5??

If you are prepared to experiment you can try downloading it from rroyy.com and find a version in the archives or postings to match your os. The experiment, if it installs but may not be right, you may need to reload the os on your phone.
