Blackberry Bridge updated to 1.0.7.4
I installed the official Wind .747 for the 9900 on my phone last night...
While resetting appworld to make sure it contains all the installed apps, it prompted me to update my BB Bridge to 1.0.7.4
I'm running the PB OS 2 developer preview.....bridge doesn't work natively still. Will test and see if anything else has changed.
I don't have a production PB OS (1.0.3..etc) to test to see if anything has changed.
Anyone else get the update/find any changes?
Update: These findings are for the DEV OS 2.0!!
Browser and most apps that i've tested (Blaq, AccuWeather...podcasts...etc) are now working over BT without having to tether!
bridge workaround using localhost:187 still works...seems a bit faster too!
READ THIS If its not showing up for you!
If it doesn't show up for you in app world, the first thing you should try is resetting it.
Go into App world, click My World, then hold ALT and type RST.
Your phone will become unresonsive for a few seconds, while app world resets itself (i'm guessing its dumping/deleting its cache or something)
App world should then quit....
Launch app-world again, and click my world...and give it a few seconds to scan and it should show up...if not, try again a little while later...maybe it hasn't been fully rolled out yet.
If you're super antsy, i'm sure @rr_yy will post cod's on his site soon so you can download them.Last edited by hestonk; 11-03-2011 at 10:23 AM. Reason: added findings

If you don't see it in appworld type ALT-R-S-T-R
This restarts Appworld and you show then see it. - 11-03-2011, 10:32 AM #8
This does not fix Bridge for me on OS2. Clicking on the Bridge icons still brings up error screen, however, I can "Bridge" successfully because I can browse the web while disconnected from WiFi.

Would love the OTA from RROYY (or anyone else) for the ATT users!

If you're running the latest App World, just go to My World. If it's not there, hit the BB menu button and Refresh List. It'll show. Alt-R-S-T is a thing of the past with the new App World.

And for the record, Bridge has not been "disabled" in OS2. All of my Bridge apps have always worked fine is OS2, with the exception of "Files"..
Just wanted to make sure everyone knows that. I hear (read) people all the time saying that Bridge was disabled in OS2. That isn't true. It is just broken for some subset of users, for some reason. Luckily, it is working great for me!

For those on the dev edition of PB OS2 there was an update yesterday to 2.0.0.3894
You have to register for it like you did with the first OS2 version. Use the link below to register...

Whether it's Bridge Update or PB OS Update, it's always a good sign that PB is still not forgotten..
