First I installed the Bridge update via app world and it broke my browser (9700 Corporate BB on OS 6.0 - AT&T). It needed "tethering".

Then I deleted that one, rebooted, and installed the OTA from the link here.
Now, it works but its super slow (worse than before).

Both above were done from the BB 9700.

Should I delete the OTA version for 6.0 too and install the BES version from my PC? If so, how is that done? I know the PB way much better than the BB, so will need help with installing the app using the PC.

same problem here.. cant download the OS5 version, always failed when reached about 60% of progress, blackberry storm 9500

Bridge Browser icon is supposed to be gone. When not on wifi you use the browser icon, it goes through bridge.. avoids confusion between the two browsers. Now you only have one.

I did like the 2 browsers for some reason. I use 2 browsers (IE & Chrome) on my pc too.
Oh well I guess I can work with that, the only thing is that I had a bunch of bookmarks in my Bridge browser already like crackberry.com.

I just realized that when I click a link in a email via bridge (I still have OS 1.0.8) it opens it up in the Bridge Browser, so its not yet lost just hidden. Maybe in OS 2.0 it will be gone.

I can't get my BB to update the bridge. I tried the link in the first post and it installed but was missing in my app list. The BB Bridge icon was missing too. I deleted the app and resinsalled the previous version. I tried installing it via desktop web store but got this error
An unknown error has occurred (EC )

Any advice? BB model below on OS5

I think that error occurs when the server fails to deliver the whole file.

I got the same error the first time; tried it again and it succeeded the second time.

No. I just kept trying until it made it all the way through. I think it was load on the servers trying to feed all of us at once.
