Default Best Way To Store An Unused PB

I have a new 64g PB which I will be giving to my niece in the Philippines next time I travel there, sometime in the New Year. It has been fully charged and all available updates have been installed. Should I
    (a) Keep on Standbye and recharge every few days
    (b) Shut down and recharge once per week
    (c) Shut down and reboot just before I go.

    I pick c).

Turn it off. Before you leave boot it up and charge it. When you buy a new PB it's off, and still has some battery life left.

Charge to about 50% according to some recommendations. Turn ooff completely. Store at cool ambient certainly not in any place where condensation can occur. If for a very long time it could be put in a sealed bag with moisture adsorbent pack.

Just before you go, turn it on, charge it fully and install the BB10 update. (It could happen.)
