Anyone willing to share best apps for Playbook before the holidays would be very much appreciated. Some other threads mention one or two but I thought having them all on one thread ( as much as possible) would make it handy for newbies ( I THINK - wish, hope, dream, that come Christmas I will join the many who are already proud Playbook owners ). Please feel free to post your favorites along with any tips you care to mention, keeping in mind as you do so that the main intent of this thread is dedicated to educating new or soon to be owners of a Playbook. Thanks in advance and a very Merry Christmas to you all

The Media Player. About the only app I use anymore on my PlayBook.

Read through this tread http://forums.crackberry.com/playboo...-games-605288/ for some suggestions. It really depends on what you are interested in. Are you looking for an app to do something specific?

A list of current working apps would be GREAT for "newbies" or soon to be owners of a PlayBook (?). Please keep it current for them.

There are dozens of decent apps. I will distinguish only which ones are native or converted. What each app do you can find on app world.
    Native:
    - Origami browser
    - My file manager
    - Files & Folders
    - Box
    - Smart Office 2
    - Pdf reader
    - Movie Srt player
    - Epub reader
    - Remote Desktop
    - Streaming Now
    - Kalem Soft
    - Battery guru
    Converted:
    - ES File Explorer
    - Tubemate
    Hope this will be useful.
