hello guys! i'll really like to get some help because since i did the last updste on my PlayBook the blackberry bridge is not working properly, well all the bridged apps are working fine except for BBM i get the updates in the upper left corner of my playbook but when i touch the BBM icon all i get is a white screen with the green circle. If any of you got the same problem and got a solution please let me know.

P.S.: i actually couldn't scan the bar code for bb bridge my blackberry torch kept telling me that "this is not a playbook bar code"

    playbook version 1.0.5.2342
    bb bridge version 1.0.0.93

I have had similar issues bridging my Storm2 and PlayBook. It did scan the bar code, but the PB never gave me the code needed that the phone was asking for. Eventually I got it to work manually, but it was a pain. I didn't check BBM though. I have had many bridging issues since the newest update. I never had to enter a code before either. I have tried restarts on both the phone and tablet, no change.

No help I'm afraid - just posting to say I do not have a BBM icon on my PB either, although all other bridge functions appear to be working fine.

If you have downloaded a new version of BBM on your device and you have not accepted the Terms after installation, you will not see your BBM icon on the Playbook. If your current version of Bridge is not the newest one released, then you also may lose your BBM icon.

Are all of your Bridge Apps current on your BB device(s)?

For those of your trying to scan the barcode, simply try a manual pairing to your Playbook.

Thanks Oniberry - as far as I can tell, everything is up to date on my 9800 and PB. Still no BBM icon on the PB although BBM appears to work fine from the 9800.

I'm running 1.0.5.2342 on the PB & 5.0.0.975 on Bold with bridge 1.0.0.93 & BBM 5.0.3.22 & mine seems to be fine. (Wow - something that works right on mine?)

I have the same problem with Messages. Everything works amazingly well except messages doesn't open even though I can read the titles as notifications.

The solution is just to refresh the playbook OS, the bbm application on the playbook is messed up. Do a desktop manager debricking OS update and you'll be fine (except you will lose all your info... I have beaten NFS all the cars, all upgraded, all modded and I didn't want to lose all that data, so it sucks but its a tradeoff)

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I have a crappy storm 1

The leaked version of bbm, the icon goes missing. Don't use it, keep to the official versions.

That is because most people do not look at the prerequisites.

In order for the leaked BBM to work, your BBOS must be minimum 6.0.0.570 or above.

I am using a 9700 v6.0.0.600 and the leaked version of bbm (5.0.3.88). It was the icon on my phone that went missing.

Uninstalled it, installed the official (5.0.3.22) and no problems. If anyone has a 9700, version 6.0.0.600 is very good.

New Playbook owner. Anyone else get the following message when trying to run BBM on the playbook? "Blackberry Bridge plug-in for Blackberry Messenger does not exist, or your version of Blackberry Messenger does not support Blackberry Bridge". Phone is a Torch 9860. Running the latest software as far as i can tell.

Has anyone tried holding all at the same time the power - and + button until the playbook reboots? I don't use bbm but it seems to work. I also have a tour.
