I cant pull up bbm on my PB through bridge, it just says

"Blackberry Bridge plug-in for blackberry messenger does not exist, or your version of Blackberry mesenger does not support blackberry bridge."

other apps work through bridge, such as messages, calendar, contact etc.

my PB OS is the 1.08 one, and the bridge app on my storm 2 is the 1.0.7.4

your phone shouldn't need wifi to connect to BlackBerry App World. Just log in, go to My World, and see if it shows an update available for BBM. If so, it's an OTA install. Once it installs, reboot your phone, then open BBM in case you have to accept the program. It should work without a problem.
