As the title states after i synced my playbook to the desktop manager my battery problems have dissapeared. My battery now charges to the full 100% and the battery lasts close to 12 hrs of extreme use. i suggest everyone do the same. As a side note i think the bb desktop manager for mac really does not work, so i guess this is a fix for windows users only.

this doesn't make sense to me and i don't know how that would work, but with the lame battery life i'm getting i guess it wouldn't hurt me to try it.

Been using mine since last night around 5:30pm and it was at 93%. Now over a day later it is at 41% and that is with moderate use. Not too shabby....

I don't see the corelation between syncing and battery meter. Might as well try.

Just sync'd it and charging on wall charger. See if I can get over the 96% hurdle.

what do you mean by EXTREME USE? do you let it out of your hands? is it in standby mode in any of those 12 hours? where is your screen brightness?

I believe it. It's amazing how much power you can save when you're not receiving push e-mail or calendars.

Webster's Dictionary defines "Sowwy" as an Apple fan who likes to take it in the rear end when he realized he must invade a blackberry messageboard to stay relevant

this is my second unit, another 64gb, and it wont last over 5-6 hours, brightness set to 20-40% and using wifi, sometimes a lil' bit of tethering/bridging if wifi isn't available, i'm on the verge of giving up on this thing.
