Apple is the darling, for good reasons they make great products but what everyone passes over is they hold their users reins tightly and honestly continue to stifle the full power of the iTouch 3.0 software.

I have mac's, itouchs, ipods, and vaio notebook, blackberry, and I am seriously considering selling off an itouch for a ZuneHD. I find my Vaio Notebook when surfing the web doesn't give me as much issue in Firefox 3.5.1 compared to the mac version which locked up again 3 times today. So MS keeps a solid 50% stake in my gadget world.

I would like to know more about said tablet. In essence, isn't the iPhone a tablet PC? If a tablet PC is a small computer, then this is more of a threat to the Dell Netbook on Verizon.

If speculation about the iPhone coming to Verizon is true, that is the bigger concern. I have a BB because I wanted a smartphone, not a netbook. If Apple offers something competitive in performance and size, that will be a problem; but like I said, isn't that the iPhone?

I would say this doesn't have anything that should worry RIM. It's not a phone. It's an oversized iPod Touch. Where it will really hold market is in the NetBook and document reader markets (think Kindle, Sony Reader, and Plastic Logic).

Its an itouch on 'roids.

Too big for your pocket,
too small to justify carrying around outside.
No keyboard for a suitable workspace.

Only fanboys that want to walk around holding a 12' screen (which is all it is) just because it is an apple will buy this. Might as well put a battery in my lcd tv and carry it around...

This will sink faster than the titanic IMO - then again, some people thought the shuffle was the greatest thing since sliced bread lol

I dont understand what the comparison is between a 10 inch tablet and a BB, that just doesnt make any sense to me. Maybe Im missing the point of the article, but it just seems like poor journalism to me.

If this thing Internet Fridge comes out RIM is in trouble!

Thats actually pretty neat, I think I want one of those! Do you have to sign a 2 or 3 year contract to get that price?

Yeah.. $19.95 is the subsidized price. It's normally $21.99, so you have 2 years to pay off $2.04
