Default Apple & Playbook Ads & News

    Wow,

I'm sitting here on my laptop checking to see that I have it all ready to upgrade to Mandriva 2011. A neat little Chrome extension came along the other day that lets you side load in Linux. Mods moved it to side loading, but not the first one that posted it for Windows & Chrome.

Anyway, up pops an Ad for Blackberry, a mouse over Ad. Really annoying but I wanted to see this one. It tells about how to integrate all of your information in your business etc. It showed the new phones and the Playbook. It was a video. I even clicked it and checked it out.

Way to go RIM!!! Get your products in peoples face. My friends and neighbors have bought PB's after I showed them mine.

So I have the news on and a story came on "Apple plans to increase the size of their iPhone to a full 4 inches".

Come on Apple, admit it, 7" ain't so bad like Jobs claimed! You're creeping up to it!

Well, 10" is too big and 3.x is too small, so we'll do 4...good plan. Might work for them.

My point? RIM can make the 4G PB into a phone too. Who says too big? Remember the old "Brief Case Phones" or the "Bricks"? How about the "Bag Phones"?

The line between "Phone", "Tablet", "Laptop" and "Computer" is getting pretty fuzzy depending on what you want to do with that one single device.

Of course someday we'll all look back and see what fools we were. There will be a wristwatch you wear that can read your electrical brain waves and know you want to check the price of "Fuel?" and send your brain images through your body's built in electrical system.

Playbook people say "Bridge" with your phone and Apple people say "iPad & iPhone". Two devices of which neither one fulfills all of their needs.

What takes up more space? One device or two? Little note here. Naked they are smaller, but who don't protect their devices with covers, sleeves, cases, you name it. It grows!

The argument is a moot point. Both sides need both.

But it sure did make me feel good to see RIM push the PB, new phones, OS, integration, and Apple up the screen size on their do all phone!

I think this is the first stage of RIM's new stance.

I forgot one of my most important points. I run Win7 and Mandriva Linux on both my laptop and desktop. I have to be able to communicate with the Playbook from where ever I may be.

I also have a satellite receiver that I need to order around now and then. And the Roku.

I was very happy when the guy posted the Chrome extension that allowed side loading the PB.

I went straight to Linux to see if it worked and it did.

I'm donating to him. You should too.
