Oh, on sharing stock... If the pricing was $699 /$299 I could see them having enough "wiggle room" (profit) to transfer inventory between regions /and or bear increased shipping costs but at a price of $149 (64GB) they for sure aren't going to be transferring inventory... (3) of the PlayBooks I received had been sitting in Office Depot's inventory for 18 months so taking up space at the very least. (18 months=Dead Inventory)
One thing I'm wondering about is the agreements in place with vendors- Is it a case inventory is owned by RIM until item is sold, or is vendor taking the loss on the dead inventory? If it's the second scenario I can't see many vendors carrying RIM products so surely they must have some kind of agreements in place with vendors so vendor doesn't take the loss.
