Hi, I've been looking at the BlackBerry PlayBooks and I can't seem to find BlackBerry PlayBook 3G+ at a retailer in the UK. BlackBerry's website just tries to redirect me to Amazon, who is seemingly out of stock and then Phones4U who doesn't even sell it :s Can anyone help me find it please?

As far as I can tell, it's pretty much impossible to pick up a 3G / LTE PlayBook in the UK. I have been searching unsuccessfully for a long time.

I can find some on the CeX webpage webuy.com but they aren't very clear on which models it is. Wherever I do find some, it never seems to be BlackBerry PlayBook 3G+. It was released into the UK at one point, right?

The last stock on amazonuk disappeared 2 months ago, with a price of 260, new. There are many described as LTE on ebay, but under closer scrutiny they seem to be regular models. Seems that we missed the boat, but the price never dropped low enough for me to justify upgrading from the 64GB. Somebody posted that the screen was not so good on the LTE, so tell myself it is not a great loss on those grounds.

On Jan. 5, 2014 I ordered a new 64GB Playbook on ebay, (from bluekusa) for $119.00. He's selling them now for $124.90. It came 4 days later, and I used my Paypal account for the transaction. There are many others on ebay selling new Playbook's also. Good luck finding one.

Hmm, well, I guess that will do. I will do that if I can't find any others. Thank you

I picked up a 64GB on eBay for just over 70 with 6 months warranty just before Xmas. Doesn't have the upgraded processor of the LTE version but to be honest I can't see that being a problem with the PB OS. As far as mobile internet goes I just turn on my Z10 hotspot and away I go. Plus loads of space for movies and music!

Not sure what the price is there. Just comes up with lots of numbers. The main reason I want a newer, if not newest model of the BlackBerry PlayBook is for the NFC functionality

Apparently the NFC chip in the PB is not active. Its one of the PB features which BB has yet to 'complete'. I got mine here in the UK new from amazon.co.uk in july. Was only 2 new 3g models available so i thought its now or never.

While true for the first few models of BlackBerry PlayBook, the BlackBerry PlayBook 3G+ according to this website has it activated. http://www.phonearena.com/phones/Bla...Book-3G_id6870

Hmm, the website must mean it has the hardware for it but it's inactive.

They also say that it lacks auto brightness, which is of course false. So not sure I'd put all that much stock in it.
