not bad at all. however i refuse to buy anything Samsung makes.
Me too :::looks at screen::: Damnet! Its nice but i still want my playbook. I don't want something that i have to "tweek" for it to work well. I got that from android central; while i like their phones i like mine better :3
No SD,HDMI or USB if I'm remembering correctly though. I do like that $469 and they 1 up the iPad2 with that pricing. If Android can ever get the OS sorted and Netflix...they may be on to something
Just yesterday, while at a Verizon store, one of the salespeople was showing me his Sammy 7" that he got for just $100. I bet he wishes he'd waited for the newer model, despite having gotten it at such a low price.
Samsung is known to have terrible support when it comes to Android devices. Their Galaxy S line is great, but their support and how long it took them to fix (some still aren't fixed) issues that came with the devices on launch is a joke. ****, some of the variants were launched months later, and still launched with the issues the first ones were released with. That is completely unacceptable.
Ask some Captivate owners how many times a day their device restarts by itself since they bought it on launch day. Not to mention the Galaxy S line was the hghest end device you can get for Android in 2010 and some of the devices JUST got Froyo. Samsung is a disaster in the smartphone field, but supposedly they recognize this now and are going to try harder.
I'm going to need hands on for both the PlayBook and the 8.9" Samsung. It seems the word is Samsung doesn't support their product but at the same time when you have XDA it becomes a little moot.
I'm still up in the air. From a work standpoint Android would be the way to go since we are having some custom apps written and I could learn to program Android apps @ work but then I could probably do using the PB SDK/Air.
The PB has a GPS so that could come in handy especially if you can get a TOMTOM like app for it.
I wish Netflix would give a time line on app release for these units.
