anyone else annoyed with amazon over kindle app for playbook? i decided i was tired of waiting and set up an account with kobo. how is amazon gonna announce the app way before the playbook came out and then not have it available. they remind me of at&t by just releasing product when the mood strikes em

Maybe Amazon really is going to release a tablet computer and does not want to help the competition!!!!!!! Or developing for the new OS is harder than they expected?

to be honest...i like Kobo on my playbook better than amazon on my Dell Streak OR Blackberry Torch. The only thing missing is adding your own books but i could never figure out how to do that on those other apps anyway

I have written them a couple of times,

I really think more of us need to write them and complain that we are blackberry users and will STOP buying Kindle books on our blackberry's if we can't read them on our playbooks.

I agree with you that kobo is pretty good. At least equal to kindle. I do wish however there would be an option to disable the screen shutoff while reading. i have to go into my pb options each time to extend the time, then hopefully remember to shorten the time again when i'm done.

I wrote them too and got the same standard response. Most of the law school books I use are not on Kobo, I am hoping they finally release an app soon. I already bought them and can access them on my PC and Bold but it would obviously be so much more useful on the PlayBook. I was excited when I heard there would be an App released; I hope they are not pulling out because it would compliment the PlayBook very well.
