Greetings, lots of confusing threads with regards to this topic. I just got my new Playbook and want to know if you can play Amazon instant videos. What's the bottom line?

Its works without a hitch in WiFi, but bluetooth Bridge speeds it doesn't work for me...

I can't get it to work in bridge. I think it is a problem with the servers going thorugh Canada, but I could be wrong.

Bandwidth in bridge is inadequate for streaming videos.
WiFi works just fine though.

It's not Netflix, but it does work.

I get a message that I'm outside of the US when I try to stream it thru the bridge, but wifi works great.

Tested it on bridge for streaming tv and hit site determined my browser was not from a us location ( over air not wifi mind you). Odd considering I'm a Sprint subscriber. Love it over wifi though

Not 100% sure, but that's probably why it doesn't work well with Bridge.

Have been using Amazon Video on my PB. However, just ran into a problem. When streaming Amazon Prime instant video (I'm a Prime member) still works fine. Recently however videos I've paid for in my Video library won't stream. Comes up with a message to wit: "Playback Error Sorry we were unable to stream this video. This is likely because your Flash Player needs to be updated."

Anyone else running into this problem?

That's a negative, that download button you see applies to Kindle devices only.

There are a couple of threads regarding this issue already. Mostly everyone has concluded that the problems are on Amazon's end. It makes sense because some shows/movies are working and others aren't.

Spoke to Amazon Prime customer support. Nice lady, but said the only tablet they support is Kindle Fire. This really, really sucks. Clearly, they made a recent change as I've had no problems since I got the Playbook for Christmas. Don't know if I'm pissed at Amazon or RIM. I think more Amazon since it looks like they've made a decision to only support the Kindle. Heck I agreed to pay $80 or so a year for Amazon Prime. Cancelled that, of course. I guess they want to sell Kindles more than they want to sell Prime memberships.

Grabbed some free vids from Amazon and the player freezes and says my flash needs to be updated on my PB. Watched an episode of MI5 last night without a hitch. Frustrated i cant use my PB tonight... Thoughts?

Yep. There are problems again with flash. Other people are having problems to with amazon and other flash movie sites.
Not sure how the problem was resolved last time. I've been good for about a month till just a couple of days ago.
