Staples Canada dropping the Rapid Chrager to $9.97 till January 4th amd free with a purchase of a 16GB Playbook. Unfortunately I wasnt able to score one as I was working all day and the Mall was closed by the time I was off but hopefully will be able to pick one up tomorrow. There is a limit of one per customer. If your purchase is not at least $50, there's a $15 delivery charge.

Did a search by item # and found it. Just ordered and they didn't mention anywhere about it not being in stock. Even with that $15 charge and HST - it's still less than half of what I paid for my first one!

Picked up 3 at one Staples in St Catharines, the charging dock is on for $14.95 and many of the odd ball cases/sleaves that BB makes for the PB were going for $5.00. I had to ask about the chargers as they were on a seperate shelve tucked away in the store, the display were tablet accessories ussually are was a disaster from boxing day with only the journal case being the only BB product left on it

I picked up the Rapid Charger in store yesterday in Bowmanvile, ON. It was marked at $9.97, however, they gave me an additional %25 off, so I walked out with it for $8.45 taxes in. They have quite a few left, as well as some charging docks, sleeves, convertible cases, and the leather envelope.

picked up two at one of the Staples stores in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. They were $14.07 each. Now I have one for the office and one for home.

Ended up picking up 4 at the Polo Park Staples in Winnipeg. Total came up to $44.67 after taxes. Worth that price big time.

We normally have the same problem in Canada. We usually have to pay 20% - 100% more for products than in the US.

Yep, I got impatient trying to race staples stock against sell outs so I ordered the charging dock from an amazon.ca reseller for $25 total after shipping and tax. Just got it yesterday

I'm just curious at the clear out price of Playbook accessories. I can see that the WIFI tablet being discontinue. If they intend to push the LTE version, why are the accessories being clear out since the new version of Playbook still use the same charging dock and key board? Unless a future version of tablet that use entirely different port is coming out. Considering there were some complain about the fragile state of the usb charging port of WiFi Playbook.

Well with CES, MWC, and the BB10's all on the immediate horizon, I decided rather than buy another of the current 2 year old models it would be wiser to just wait until all 3 events are over to see if something newer is coming.

Confirmed... Picked up 2 charging pod stands (the ones that prop up the playbook on your desk/nightstand)... $14.07 each.

The secret:

You have to ask person at checkout for it, they are hiding it behind their counter!!!!

I pick up two Rapid Travel Chargers for $9.97 each at a downtown location. I did not intend to buy, just want to check out what they have in their clear out bins. I'm glad I asked the employee there and they do keep BlackBerry Playbook accessories behind the customer service counter. This store has different case on clear out as well. The dock charger, if i remember is $14.97. Just do a store location search and call to confirm they actually have the physical stock before you venture out.

The Staples truck just delivered mine! So much for 'next day delivery' - but understandable with the holiday rush and the days off in between. Now each of our PB's has one - no more wear and tear on the poor usb port!
