All Nighter for OS2.1?

Anybody dong an all nighter expecting OS2.1 to be launched tomorrow? I seem to remember RIM likes to launch on Tuesday but that might just be that very, very small part of my brain that is optimistic. I am thinking I will, I'm not working tomorrow.

They will be a bridge update for this OS update for sure but I am guessing that they will announce 2.1 tomorrow with a release to follow shortly.

You may be up for while. I'm not losing sleep over the official 2.1 I'm happy with the .840 beta. It comes when it comes. Gimme SMS over bridge and I'll be happy.

It was either a patch or something you deleted from the device. It happens a lot nothing new or new release related. Some people have mentioned a 1mb patch with a bug report tool, others (like myself) got 1mb of mystery (and most likely just a patch).

I got no patch, no ladybug, so heck no I'm not staying up. I figure RIM will release 2.1 to everyone but me anyway so I'm not losing sleep over it. RIM...I'm feeling like the stepchild right now...

Whoa there he said all nighter, not all night camp out.

Seriously though, there is a difference between the OP tapping "Check for Updates" all night from the comfort of his home with a big screen TV, Surround Sound system, with a computer and gaming console, food, water, central heat and cooling, cooking appliances, a bed, et cetera... If you have to do it BlackBerry users are sensible someone could do an all nighter [if they are so inclined] in style & comfort.

The Apple nutty fans have a foldout chair and a blanket. Maybe a drink and a bakcpack full of ~~apples~~ snacks... jk

I'm just not an all nighter kind of person, but to each their own

You dont need to stay awake; just set a notification/alarm in your twitter app if you have one to the phrase "2.1 is out" - that way if it starts to appear online, twitter will beep at you and you can wake up and install it

Gotta use technology instead of staying awake

OKAY. I have. 2.1.0.840.. Why iseveryone referring to the anticipated 2.1???? Since we already have it. How about 2.1.1, or even 2.2???

Because the 2.1 Beta that we have is just that, a Beta. It is also a dumbed down version of good things to come.
Bridge SMS, WiFi Bridge, and hopefully many many bug fixes.
