    Does anyone know if the scheduled alarm will sound while the playbook is powered off? I've always left it standby--never knowing if the alarm would sound while off.

    Also, greetings. Joined Crackberry today. The posts have been very helpful as I encountered various issues with my playbook.

    In standby it will go off.....if it's completely powered off it does not go off.

    Thomas: That's the kind of thing I would definitely verify. Set an alarm for a few minutes in the future and turn if off. What happens?

    F2, thanks. Finally got around to trying the alarm while PB was off. Definitely doesn't work. Needs to be in standby.

    Good to know. The BB phone will turn on and sound an alarm.
