    Okay so I have installed kindle reader but now how do I add my free books I already have?

    These books are not on my Amazon account.

    There is a directory called 'misc'
    In there is a sub-dir called android, and in that is a sub-dir called kindle. Copy your books to this directory and read away.

    It does not appear to read or recognize pdf files placed there but I put a mobi and prc and it recognized and opened both of those types of books.
