i think this is what my boss has on his ipad. i like it a lot and even a bit jealous about it....the case, not the ipad. i have the Targus Truss and the Acase appears to be slimmer and more or less the same length & width as the playbook. at that price I just may have to get it as well
The case looks great. My only concern is about the wear over time that it gets at the crease on the back where it transforms into a stand. Good reviews on the equivalent for the Xoom.
So I just got this case today. The Xoom reviews for the similar case were good except for the complaints that one of the grooves was allowing the Xoom to slip down when they tried to type on it. Also it didn't allow for access to earphones, or to charge when the case was closed. I'm happy to say that this case doesn't have any of those problems. I'm pleased. And the price was right.
Of course it costs $5, it renders the Playbook completely useless!!
Are you familiar with this case? It does look like one on Amazon that had initial bad reviews, but then the cases were re-configured. Maybe this is one of the initial batch that did render it useless.
I got this case, and I like it a lot. The side that goes over the screen is well padded, and the fold-back "stand" feature is very handy. I'm using it now as I type this. Also, an unintended (I think) feature is the use of the overhanging "clasp" pieces when the case is completely folded back and the PB is held in the hands. It's easy to use them to support the device by letting those pieces rest on the index finger as I hold the PB.
I recieved the Acase yesterday. This case is actually very nice. Much better than I expected. The pictures on the site are accurate. The case doesnt add bulk to the device, and feels good in he Hand. I was worried about the "exposed areas" but it appears that it wont be a problem at all due to the corners being covered. It protects pretty well, and the built in stand is a bonus. Also, for those with Amazon Prime you can order the device directly from Amazon, and of course that option ships in two business days for free.
Has anyone used both the journal case and this one? How do they compare? I find the journal case makes the PB just a bit too wide to thumb type in landscape mode, but it looks like with this, you can grip the actual PB itself as opposed to the sides of the case. True or no?
I had this case for about a month and its been great. Love having all three positions (10deg, 45deg, 60deg) and the it doesnt add much bulk. I am typing in landscape mode right now while holding the sides and I have relatively small hands.
I have a case just like this one I found on Amazon as well and I absolutely love it. I also have the Otterbox Defender and DODOcase but this one is my daily commuter and have it on 99% of the time
