7" HP Touchpad Coming In August?
RIM had better get their act together and get the native PIM apps out before it launches. WebOS looks pretty sweet and as slick as QNX on the PB and has PIM very well integrated. I like that you can reply to SMS messages from the Touchpad (if you have a WebOS phone). WebOS is in the same boat as QNX though with the lack of apps so it may not take away much if anything from the 7" tablet market.

not gonna lie - got my eye on the touchpad, and the 7" variant is pretty appealing...especially with the cohesion we've seen demo'd with the new phones. If RIM doesn't get their act together with the new touch phones before HP gets the Pre3 and TP7, I just might jump ship...

the biggest problem of the 10"touchpad for me is the fat bulky design and its weight,if the 7" version will look as unappealling it really doesnt bother how good it maybe is.

Will it have a rear facing camera and HDMI output? The 9.7" doesn't.

Just respect the competition folks, HP will be a big player in the world of tablets, and if they release the TouchPad it will be a huge competitor for all tablet makers.
The movies and previews speak for themselves...
I don't care if tablet X has that app and the PlayBook not, just as long my PlayBook does what I want, I'm happy.

All of your threads seem to be the same theme of putting down the PB and touting WebOS. Did you just join here to talk up WebOS? I guess we'll find out soon enough if the issue was Palm didn't have enough money to make WebOS successful, or it was/is just to late to the dance and is now irrelevant. I waited forever for Palm to get that unicorn to market then finally had to convert from PalmOS to BB. WebOS looks cool, but I don't see anything that gives it a leg up on Apple or Android in the consumer space, or RIM in the government and corporate space.
