What other tablet with a base price of $200 is this awesome?

You're killing me with that overscan on the TV.

This was done early on with Need For Speed and demo'ed. It is an excellent capability to have and enjoy.

Just try fitting that "tablet" into your back pocket.

I was playing Angry Birds on my 46" Sony through the HDMI connection, and while it was fun I noticed the sound would'nt go through my stereo system in Angry Birds. The sound would stay on in the PB. Yet, NFS played it through the stereo system just fine. Any one else with this issue?

I noticed when I play NFS on my TV there is a lag from PB steering input to TV screen. Makes drifting difficult.

this set up is what I would like RIM to use for marketing. Imagine a kiosk like space in the middle of a mall set up as such: four corners of the kiosk with a 55inch tv connected to a PB along with a reclining chairs. I bet it will get a lot of attention!

That's probably your basic HDMI lag. I get it bad on my TV with some cable channels. Don't know if it's the TV (if it is, I can't find any settings to correct it) or my good-for-nothing cable service whose name I won't mention but it starts with a C and ends with an X and has an O in the middle.

Wow we have the same TV! lol i love using my PlayBook with the HDMI out too, especially for movies, Youtube with friends, general web browsing, etc.. i also have a fancy base for the PB near the TV lol, looks very high tech

I also have a 55' Samsung TV, and hooking the PB to it via Micro HMDI is totally BADASS!
I also got a PB for my mom and pop for Christmas, and taught them how too hook it up to the TV and they LOVE IT.
On Monday we missed the latest episode of "How I Met Your Mother" so the next day my dad hooks up his PB to our big-@ss TV and streams the latest episode online with flash from cbs.com!
It worked beautifully, it was easy to setup, and great quality video too! The PB is so awesome, cant wait for 2.0 next month!!Last edited by FMB8900; 01-04-2012 at 03:02 PM.

Yes! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE WITH A PLAYBOOK SHOULD GET A MICRO HMDI CABLE!
Its an absolute must! I wish RIM would supply one in the box with each PB. So everyone who got a playbook could try it and be fully aware of it's awesome quality, and awesome features of "presentation mode".
If you're looking for a good cable for a good price.... I got this one from Wallmart.com for my parents when I got them their PlayBook's for Christmas.
Its Super long at 15 feet! it reaches all the way from the TV to the couch and coffee table with plenty of wire left, and it was only $10
it's a great buy!

Monoprice.com has some great prices on all kinds of cables.
I got a 30 footer recently and threw in some oddball small adapters just to have around.
