^ yeah, the N4BB story on the 4G PB had the cell signal identifier, so it is either not in that older OS or the because the sim card is missing.
This one is probably a RIM development model and may not work fully.
This looks like a prototype 4G Playbook that has showed up before. The removable slot on the bottom for the SIM card is what I remember. One of these was floating around late last summer. This one is speced at 1GHz and not 1.5 so I doubt it's the new one. It is running 2.0.x so if it is one of the old prototypes, it was able to be updated. This might be a 4G Playbook, but I'm pretty sure that it's not the new one.
Not sure if it should or not, but just noticed there is no cellular signal meter or provider name on the screen.
Based on the pictures N4BB posted, the cell meter was under the WiFi signal on the "Connections drop down" and also there was no cell provider either so im guessing you'd have to insert a simcard first for the cell provider to appear and the 4th picture on the Ad above shows that there is no sim card present in the tray.
Probably an ex-employee monetizing on BlackBerry hardware. I looks the same as the prototype that appeared on eBay except no "Property of RIM" at bottom.
I wonder if it's unlocked and can be used on any LTE carrier? Or is it a device to test on Rogers or Bell network?
Surprised, no hardware improves, ie. CPU, no LED flash, and so forth.
