16GB Playbook feeling cramped all of a sudden
With new games being launched and probably more tomorrow @BBWorld, my 16Gb PB doesn't cut it anymore, I Have 5Gig left on this beast. My wife said she's ok if I give it to her, she currently sports an ipad that she's selling for cheap to a friend. My dilemma is I want to buy a 64Gb but I know PB 2 or whatever name it's gon be called is just around the corner, but I guess for a higher price. Decisions, decisions

If you have the means, you should jump all over a new PB.

If & when it come out, it will be for much more $$$ then the PB now. Plus the roamer of 4G which mean yet another data plan.

The funny thing is that you already have more disk space than other tablets. QNX is an embedded OS --- so they have spent the last 30 years on shrinking stuff down.
The big Playbook games are usually 10-20 MB smaller than other platforms --- same number of levels, same graphics details --- they will be a 400 MB game for the Playbook vs. a 420 MB game for the iPad. - 04-30-2012, 09:32 PM

If you currently have one - it's not like you're playing the 'should I wait for the next best thing' game with nothing in hand...and we all know that's a game that you can never win anyway..
one thing you might want to do - try to get by with current model and wait for announcement of whatever the next iteration of the Playbook is going to be, pricing, etc. and then make your decision at that time..
You'll be able to decide for yourself if the upgrades are worth a, most likely, jacked up price and, by that time, the prices of the current gen. 64GB Playbooks will likely have come way down.

ditto, those "get a 64 you need it" advisements are blanket statements and not true. I've come to the conclusion many people just say it to justify the extra $100. Every time I've overspent for storage I've been a bit annoyed with myself as well. That depends on the person. I have a 16gb and have lots of room left.
what about music, do you keep it on your PB? I also only have apps and games on mine, as well as about 100 ecomics and I'm usually sitting around 8GB free space which I use to put vids on. My movies are usually around a 700MB-1GB size so I usually only end up swapping them out once a week. I also don't keep the same games on all at once because many of them I don't like enough to keep permanently, so I end up with about 6-8 games at any given time. Most of those are the larger HD games too. I also have a lot of apps and a lot of sideloaded apps. The thing I notice that causes space issues for a lot of people who go after the larger PB's is music. I prefer my tunes to be on my phone.Last edited by omniusovermind; 05-09-2012 at 12:05 PM.

Delete the games you don't play anymore. Large games like Asphalt6/NFS/etc I don't even touch anymore...

Had the 16 first, found it was definitely not large enough. Went for the 64 and couldn't be happier.
